The Real Reason For Easter

Hello friend!
When we think about Easter, sometimes it's easy to think about bunnies and chicks and fun family activities and maybe going to church as well.
But there is something fundamental that is easy to forget. Over 2,000 years ago, the power of God was displayed through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is so easy for me to forget what this means for you and me today.
When the busyness of life and the cares of everyday activities seem to fill my mind, I tend to lose focus of the things that are truly important. The Bible says to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
As we go through spring and the coming summer with lots on our plates such as work, household chores, feeding your family healthy foods, and enjoying family fun activities, remember to stop and take time for what's truly important.
The souls of your children or the people around you are the only thing besides the word of God that we have here on Earth that will last through all of eternity. So let's purpose our hearts to invest in those precious souls. If we're seeking first the kingdom of God, we are investing in eternity.
For me, it's hard to clearly see what the kingdom of God is. Recently I've been inspired by this passage:
Romans 14:7
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Righteousness: Being right in relationship with the Lord Jesus gained only through total faith and dependence upon Christ. Righteousness is a gift that comes from the Lord to those who accept what Jesus has done for them by faith (Romans 5:17-18) while abiding by right living according to God's standard. (The Bible)
Peace: Knowing that God will take care of us no matter what happens.
Joy: Living a life of thankfulness and gratitude for what the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ can do in my life, freeing me from guilt, shame and bondage to sin.
I hope you found this uplifting. Please know that we often pray for our customers and their families, which of course, includes you!
