Lamb heart can be prepared many ways. Our favorites are roasted in the oven, broiled, or braised. Braise by placing the lamb heart in a frying pan on a medium heat, add a splash of olive oil and add the onion and garlic.

Some great herb choices for your lamb dishes include:

Nutrition: Lamb heart is a great source of Vitamin B12 which is essential to the health of your nervous system and red blood cells. Vitamin B12 can also help prevent a number of chronic diseases, including heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and certain types of cancer It also contains essential amino acids, riboflavin, thiamin, selenium, phosphorus and magnesium!  

Lamb heart contains 4.4 milligrams of niacin (vitamin B3). Like omega-3 fatty acids. Niacin has been shown to increase HDL cholesterol while lowering levels of LDL cholesterol, in the bloodstream.
